An intercultural journey and authentic emotional experience. The city of Palma welcomed numerous talented filmmakers, actors and cinema lovers again this year hosting a new edition of the exciting Evolution Mallorca International Film Festival (EMIFF).

Bridging Cultures and People

Sandra Seeling Lipski is the soul behind EMIFF. She founded and now directs the film festival. Now in its seventh year, the EMIFF again stays true to its mission: Bridging cultures and bridging people. Through international films the festival shapes a creative community for independent filmmakers to network, find inspiration and thrive on the exciting island of Mallorca. It also encourages the production of new films on our beautiful island.

About Evolution Mallorca International Film Festival

The annual event offers an excellent option of networking with well-known and some of the most genius minds in filmmaking. EMIFF is both intimate and international as it is also breathtaking. Filmmakers gather every year on the island to ‘discover the next great generation of filmmakers and be inspired by industry experts’. And they never go home disappointed.

The festival, that has its headquarters in Mallorca, welcomes attendees from over 20 different countries. This makes it one of many international festivals in Mallorca. Over 100 films of different categories are presented during the event such as feature films, short films, documentaries, music videos, animation films and more. The festival also presents the largest ‘Made in Baleares’ section for Balearic filmmakers which includes all categories.

We want the audience of EMIFF to be surprised and moved, we want to invite them to reflect with films that touch the heart and that transcend borders

The organizers are furthermore excited to be included on the prestigious international film festival list of MovieMaker Magazine. Shining a spotlight on Mallorca and their festival.
