A taste of exotic living on the island. With influences from India, Bali, Thailand, Morocco and London – to name but a few – the décor at this estate in the land of windmills will take you to an exotic place without even having to leave Mallorca.
A Holistic Haven
Immersing yourself in this house is to receive an immediate anti-stress effect. The colours are neutral. White and black with works of art providing some colour accents. This property was built by the Swarovski family and is a dream come true. A quiet and peaceful oasis on the Mallorcan countryside. The present owner Sheela Levy has decorated both interior and exterior areas of her home based on Feng Shui and holistic philosophy, of which she is an expert.
The estate has more than 3,000 olive trees and we produce our own oil.
Sheela explains how she bought dozens of antique doors from the island and how she restored them to give them various uses. The impressive main entrance gate is one of them, with handles bought in Morocco. Other personal touches are lamps Sheela brought from India. She also treated many pieces of furniture that were already in the house with oil or painted them black.
All the plant pots are from Thailand.
Love for Details
A confessed fabric addict, Sheela buys fabrics wherever she finds herself. She gives new life to pillows all over the house on a regular basis, always keeping the black-and-white theme. The splashes of colour normally come from flowers and art pieces. Every object in the house is there for a reason and has a story behind it. The details really make this home so unique and special.
