This September, Palma will once again host its vibrant Nit de l’Art. It’s one of the island’s most important and biggest art events. The eclectic festival yearly attracts thousands of artists, art lovers and collectors from all over the world. They visit galleries, museums and cultural centres in Palma that open their doors to visitors for free during this evening.

About Nit de l’Art

The fascinating Nit de l’Art is one of Mallorca’s biggest and most important festivals dedicated to contemporary art. A great night to socialise, discover Palma’s cultural offers and above all enjoy art. This year the annual event takes place for the 23rd time, marking the start of the artistic season in Mallorca. Thousands of artists, art fans and also serious collectors from Britain, Germany and other countries gather in the streets of Palma to celebrate.

Professionals, art lovers and the general public will have the opportunity to immerse themselves in an interesting tour of the contemporary cultural and artistic offer of Palma whose theme focuses this year on the emergence of African art in Europe .

Galleries, museums and cultural centers all over Palma open their doors from 19h until about midnight. Some of them inaugurate new exhibitions and installations by well-known artists or newcomers to wow their visitors. You can enjoy a drink while admiring and discussing art pieces with the artists themselves or other art fans.

“The Nit de l’Art is an example of what we want cultural management to be in the city: a collaboration between public and private that allows us to do things together that we could not do separately”.

Frederic Pinya, President of ‘Art Palma Contemporani’
